Actually not a luv ? but was wondering since I still have the little Isuzu motor was wondering if it would be a possiblity to put it in a nice s-10 that the motor blew up in. It is an 83 with a 2.8 or 2.5 Would have to change trannies too I am sure.
Probably better off to put my little 307 in it since I have it and a 700 R4 here.

Go with the V-8 & over drive trans as you will like it allot better.

I put together a 82 S-10 with a 305-700R-4 ,shorty headers,single 3" exhaust,and still kept the A/C that the truck had,and a rebuilt V-8 Monza radiator.And i installed an after market cruise control.

This little truck would get 30-32 MPG every day.

But i like the LUV better for it's looks and it is allot lighter than a S-10.

The first couple of years for the s10 they came with the Isuzu engines. The first one I v8'ed in 1985 had one. Even had Isuzu on the valve cover.
