Finally got the s-10 rollin with the 400 small block. Motor sounds and runs good.
Problem now is my convertor must be staying locked. When you put it in gear to go it lugs down and quits. Have a 700r4 with a kit to lock it up automatically. Must be staying locked. Still don't quite understand the lockup and non lockup configuration and how it is supposed to work

For lockup, all you need is power to the A terminal and ground the D terminal. When powered, it will lockup in all gears. Also, to avoid stalling, you will need to hook it up to your brake lights. When you apply the brake, it needs to interrupt the power to the lockup. If you don't do this, you'll need to switch the power on/off every time you stop.

u goin pro-street with this truck? or off road? im lookin to buy a cherry S10 2x to make a pre-runner out of it. my old one is bein driven by my buddy that bought it after a barrel roll into a ditch . i might buy it as a beater just like ol times...
