i am getting a 64 d100 :)
they may be ugly but their cool truck
This one has a wide block in it
and i was wondering
WOULD it be easier in the long run just to switch the motor out
or stick with it until it dies
i have heard mixed thens about the wide blocks
So i thought hey those guys at luv truck might know some more
Already been told i can't really hot rod this engine :(

i think they look pretty cool... dual headlights are just as neat as the single headlights... tail lights are also pretty niffty

to me it looks more like something that you would try to restore than to make a hotrod out of it. IMO

:? Why would you want to hotrod a motor that you can't find parts for?

The most economical way would to put a big block in it. or at lest go to the newer small block. But the big block would give you the best bang for the buck and stock will be plenty stout.

Don't get me wrong, those old wide block are a good motor but they are not that easy to get parts for and hop up parts are almost non existent.

well i was thinking if i was going to switch it out it as going to be with a 360
so i guess i'll just drive it until the old wide block gives up finnaly

a friend had a purple one we called Barney. Last year a guy walked up to him at a swap meet and offered him 10K cash for "Barney" and my friend sold it to him on the spot. They definitely have some character to them.
