Now you really have to be careful when you have a crank like that standing on its end.

I would really love to see more engine specs on that thang. Bet it takes a tanker load of crankcase oil.

I used to work for detroit diesel, the biggest one that we rebuild was a 16v 149
Two v8's bolted together, 149ci per cylinder, 2-stroke
four turbos feeding two superchargers
When we put that thing on the engine dyno down in the truck shop (where we usually had semi's or oil rig equipment) everyone would have to put on earplugs... them turbos whine like nothing youve ever heard when its running wide open with a load on it
I usually had earplugs and ear muffs when working on it in the dyno... trying to pull them big numbers

We worked on a V 16 Detroit at UTI mechanics school, when I attended back in the 80's.
