I'm expecting to get new ones, after I put wider wheels on the back and put my two free vette' mufflers on (with true duals of course), gotta do some nick-nack stuff to it now, carb's leaking a bit of gas, need to take some more trans fluid out. BTW, the whole loss of power deal was just the vac. advance wasn't getting vaccum cause of a thermal valve, bypassed it and now it runs GREAT, no misses like it used to. Need to change my rear axle oil too, put new batt. cables on w/ a new batt., fix my p/s leak, new valve cover gaskets, minor stuffs.
I don't have any place locally that does recaps, I know a guy that used to though... my g/f's dad roasted a set in front of his shop in his 67' galaxie (with a 390

) cause he didn't beleive that he was peeling off the tread after only 1500 miles, gave him the best cap he had and bet him $20 and a new set of tires he couldn't pop em', he's still got that set of tires on the car.
