I have a 91 silverado xtended cab. I just had to do the regular steering column re-tightening that these trucks are known for... I didn't take the column apart... my drunk bro-in-law decided he'd do that for me. So I'm stuck with the task of reassembly knowing nothing about how this thing came apart...

I've made it all the way up to the turn signal collar... how do you reattach the turn signal lever to the rest of the mess???

Thanks..
Andy

Long and the short- just but a new colum(ie one from a salvage yard) i had the same problem on my dad's 91 Scottsdale x-cab, he had it tightened a couple times before he got tired of paying 150 bucks each time to have it tightened. got another colum for about 250. but his was a stick, if you have an auto it's cheaper, hope that helps ya

Why on earth would he have to pay 150 bucks every time he had to get it tightened? Did he have someone else do it?

It's not really that hard to take the steering wheel and the different collars off, I'm just not that sure as to how to get my turn signals working again. I'm driving the truck now without them.
