i am so happy i got a jeep the other day its a 89 wrangler straight 6
fuel injected body straight and frame no rust floor pans perfect jus needs interior and few minor things like a battery it has new tires and wheels
now i got a new toy for cheap i ll post pics when i take some

i've been thinking of getting a jeep.....
with gas prices the way they are I think I am going to wait.
I think my blazer would get jealous if I got a jeep anyway.

i picked it up for an amazing low price of a 1000 dollars

i was so excited we towed it to are shop today time to start fixin it up

damn man great jeep
i'd pay 1000 for it with even no motor. it looks like it's in pretty good shape

well i tried firing her up tonight once i put the gas tank back on and nothing so i take out my handy dandy carburetor cleaner and go crazy i love that stuff anyways it ran for a second then died i tried this bout 5 times i think personally its a fuel pump problem i think if i do that and get a couple other things and she'll run

the full coverage insurance on the jeep for me will be about 40 dollars extra with the luv thats not to bad for a 20 year old male

the funny thing is it was for sale as 1200 obo and i said i ll give you 850 in cash tomorrow for it and mind you this was a teenage girl who i bought the jeep from she was getting a honda with the money and she was like well i ll let you have it for 1000 no lower if you want you can make payments i was like right on sold !!

man it almost starts but fuel isnt getting to the motor i dumped a lil bit of fuel down the carb and tried it started for a sec then died so i bought a fuel pump and gonna check the fuel filter i replaced the battery too and spark plugs all fluids been changed too

cause it hasnt been run for a year or two but it sounds good when it was partially running

i think that should make it run

then test drive

ahh, you got one with the 258(4.2) in it. they didn't start putting the 4.0 in wranglers until 1991 or so.

get rid of the piece of junk carter carb on that thing and put a 38MM weber on it. much, much better. you can also swap a 4.0 head off a newer jeep and put fuel injection on it, there's kits out there

thats what i was planning on doing was putting the 38 weber on it
i just love webers no trouble at all with them since i put it on the luv
449.00 for the 38 weber kit but i might find it for less then i got that extra flowmaster i bought earlier so i ll put that on too

alright it runs good just replace the fuel filter and fuel pump about 30 bucks all together and got a couple of vacuum leaks havnt driven it yet because tank is sitting on ground not up in its place but will drive it soon i's so happy its like when i first got the luv

my dad is tryin to make me get rid of the luv and i said NO WAY man

alright heres the scoop on the jeep i am tradin my 55 ford pickup thats a big project for body and paint for my lil jeep i am thinkin a dark forest green some kinda dark green with a lil metallic i ll post some pics of it after its done in the next 2-3 weeks guy is a good body man and it would probably cost 5000 dollars to get his good work
