Okay here's my ordeal. I have a '74 but the work on that has turned out to be a little to big of a hole in my pocket. SO, I need to get a car until I can finish it. My two choices are a 70's Nova or a Chevy truck w/a 350 under the hood. The Nova is a littlw trashed, definatly qualifies for the beater standard, but I was thinking that when I'm done I could waste more money on restoring that. I dunno. The trucks has seen better days but it still turns the wheels. However it gets from 6-8 MPG. Lil spendy fer gas but the trucks free. The Nova costs $375 but Ill have to jump on that quick as the truck is an anytime deal. I was just wondering what Y'all thought would be the better choice.

I'd get the truck, and depending on your plans you could swap the 350 into the luv

Yea I could do that but I already have a 350 ready to go its just that I dont have the change fer all the lil details. I also found out th the truck needs a new crank so Im not sure how much thatll set me back.

Whats the nova got in it? If its also a small block it won't do much better and that's $300 or what ever is gas money. It also depends if you drive 100 or 1000 miles a week, ya know what I mean?
