I know that stock rocker arms have a ratio of 1.5. So why would I not want 1.6? I have #882 heads, will the heads not handle the extra lift without mods? :?

Best thing to do is check with the dealer of the rocker arms and see what their recommendations are. Or maybe someone on here would know more. When you change rocker arms, and your cam has enough duration, you might run into valve to piston clearance issues. It is also harder on springs, retainers, etc.

I had a 327 in my blazer many moons ago, and I had to get the long slotted rocker arms to accomodate the cam. I was running a 288 crane with about a 590 or 600 lift. The stock rockers would cause the lifters to de-pump and rattle. Took 3 days of trying to run the valves to get this problem. There was no coil bind, cause the rockers wouldn't let the valves open far enough.
