On Sat. one of my friends had called me and said that they found this motor sitting on the side of a house that they were working on and i didnt have crap to do so i went down to look at it. To my suprise it was a 455 buick and i drive a 64 skylark so sadly im gonna have to pull the solid cammed 327 out. With pretty tall gears a turbo 400 and a ton of bottom end torque it should be a pretty fun daily driver. I also have a muncie sitting in the shed with all the all the linkage to put it together.

400 or 4speed what do you guys think?

I used to have a 68 skylark with a buick 350 in it, and man it was a blast. I wanted to put a 4speed in it soooo bad, but alas, I blew the motor up and all but gave it away....

4 speed all the way, baby....

its a black convertible. they guy works for the airlines as a mechanic. not sure if he still comes out but he used to be at Burger King and Togos when that was going on and he would always start up right at 12 midnight and go home like clockwork. my friend with the puple caged 64 nova challenged him to a race a couple times but he says he doesnt street race. super cool guy tho. car sounds good too but from what i hear he has had problems getting it into the 10's...
the car actually slowed down when he put it on nitrous!!! I thnk its hit a high 10 once but is a consistent 11.50-11.70 car. not bad for a tank like that. i just think its cool to see other cars like that rolling around.. sure i love chevies but its nice to see a BOP hot rodded out too.

I have a 455 in my '70 Skylark, and they're a hell of a motor.
