I found out my shorties weren't matched to heads I had used on my truck. When I find new headers I need square port one to match my heads or round ones that are flat on the flange and not welded on the inside. what a bummer. Any suggestions.
I did find out that the shorties are better for more rpm's than long tube. The long tube gives more low end torque which IO assume we don't need on a luv.
Any ideas.

A round tube will work as long as the tube is bigger than the head port. Get a gasket that is as big as the header tube as some gaskets are smaller. Then you can see if it matches up.

Tell ya what T this thing is becoming a nightmare. Summit has some square port headers but not sure what they look like he said. The round ones will work like you say if i can find the ones that don't have the weld ring on the inside and are flat on the flange. Guess 1 3/4 tubes is what Ineed for roundones.
Will just have to move on to another part of the project for now. Seemss I'll never get this durn thing back on the road by this summers end
